Default tire sizing question.

I used the search and had no luck, so I"m just gonna ask. I'm searching for new tires, and I want to go from 32s to 35s on the stock rim. Every website I check asks for the tire size in the "other measurement", ya know, like 255/70/r17. What is the equal measurement in 35s in this sizing. Thanks in advance.

thats what I want but it seems like all the websites don't use high floatation sizing, they use metric sizing I think its called.

315/70R/17 is the metric 35, but it's more like 34.5ish". Then again most 35's are less than 35 inches by a little bit.

a 35 on a 17" rim is a 35x12.5x17 or a 315/70 r17

I use this calculator a lot for size.

http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecal...cde-gen-by-svr

A 35x12.50x17 in metric would be a 318/71r17 so 315/70r17 is the common equivalent at 34.6x12.40x17

A 35 is really a 34.77 so the difference is nominal.

Awesome. Thanks for the info guys. That simplifies it a bit. Now, if I could only decide on which tires I want. I thought choosing a lift was tough, tires are way harder to choose!
