Default Tire Thoughts

Guys,
Im considering installing Cooper STT 33'' on my JK with a 2.5 lift.

Will these fit without cutting fenders?

Also what are your thoughts on the tire brand? Highway use mostly and limited offroad.

They will fit as is and easily with a lift. Don't know much about those tires but a buddy of mine is about to get them and he's pretty emanated with them. His vehicle is his DD.

I assume if I order 285/70/17, that it is the equivalent of a 33?????

Is this still a little small for the 2.5 lift?

They will fit like a large glove; plenty of room to spare. Unless you don't have bump stops, they will come nowhere near your fenders.

Great tire. Ran them for 2 yrs before moving to 35s. You'll have plenty of room with a 2.5" lift.

Below is a pic of my jeep with 2.5" lift and 33s STT. Even fully stuffed there is plenty of room.

According to the Cooper website, the actual 33 is not recommended for the 7.5'' - 9'' wheel width of the factory wheel, so I assume it is best to get the 285/70/17, and not the 33X12.50R17LT which is for 8.5'' - 11'' wheel.
Correct?

Also if there is lots of room, should I could I go bigger again?

Default cooper tires

Now I have another decision to make, due to excessive shopping

I cant decide between the Cooper STT and ST Maxx

Any suggestions, I got some positive feedback on the STT's and am about to order until I seen the ST Maxx, anyone have any experience with these tires that would make this decision a no brainer?

My stts look way better than my buddies st maxx. I love my stts I'd definetly go that route. They are great in all kinds of offroad conditions

Default 33's Coopers

So I pulled the trigger and ordered the Cooper ST Maxx .... 285/70/17. Hopefully they will be better than my Wrangler SRA's and better than my BFG KM's. Find the GYW's too soft, and the BFG's too hard. Plus now I finally get my 33 inch meat hooks

I will post some reviews once installed.

Thanks to everyone who gave me advice.
