Default Tire Upgrade Help!

Hello everybody! This is my first post on here, but I have been looking at all the post on this site for the past week. I just got my first Jeep 2012 JKU Sport on 11-11-11 and it is my DD. The options that it came with are the 5-Speed Automatic, 3.73 Rear Axle Ratio, Trac-Lok Limited Slip Rear Differential, and the Black 3-Piece Hard Top. The first thing I'm looking at doing to it is getting new tires. I don't want to do a lift at this point, so I'm looking at the Goodyear Duratrac 265/75 R16 and keeping the 16" rims that came with it. Would this be a good setup to start with? I live in Englewood, Co and will be doing some camping, fishing, and try my skills on easy to moderate trails.

Welcome to the forum, nice 2012 you have there. Many people have said good things about these tires. I'm not sure about the size, but I'm sure others will chime in. Again welcome.

Yes, the 265/75R16 will fit with no problem, I did that size on my '07. You can go as big as 285/75R16 with those wheels and some Spidertrax wheel spacers. The Duratracs are a great tire all around, most aggressive A/T and still great on the street.

I would go with the 285/75/16 and wheel spacers it would look great. I had the same 16"steel wheels on mine when I got it I sprayed them with bedliner and the wheels spacers they made a world of a difference. Welcome to the club and I hope you enjoy your new toy

Hey I've got an 08 Sahara 2 dr with the 18 inch rims. I'd like to lift that's not in my budget yet. My stock tires are starting to go (Bridgestone dueller) and I'd like to get the biggest duratracs I can get under there without rubbing issues. New rims are a maybe but I'm not really interested in spacers. What should I do?

Will these fit without issues on my stock 18" rims?
