Default Tires 265/70/17 BFG mud terrain

I have a 2013 jk sport s with 17" wheels. I can buy a set of 5 BFG mud terrain 265/70/17 that only have 100 miles on them for $750. I don't really care about wheeling. That would only comprise about 3-4 times a year and nothing extreme. I just want my jk to look cool. I was planning on buying BFG 285/70/17 in the future , but these are half the price. Will I buy these and then realize that I should have saved my money and went with the 285? I want to keep my OE wheels for now and upgrade in the future. I also plan on installing a small budget boost.
Any suggestions?

That's a good price for the mud tires, I paid a similar price for the rugged terrain's from bfg. I would buy even cheaper tires then go with the 285's you want down the road.....or 35's if you get that bug.

If you don't want to wheel it that's your choice but you won't be happy with the on road performance on a mud tire, if you want that aggressive look but decent street manners (100x better than an MT) perhaps go with a BFG all-terrain TA KO?

This is a third vehicle that is use on the weekends for fun. I'm not really worried about gas mileage or road handling. I just want that more aggressive look. My main concern is if the 265's will look big enough.

Are those BFG's? How do you like them? Do you have a lift on there? I'm worried they wouldn't fill up the wheel well.

They are bfg's, the 'new' rugged terrain (which isn't rugged at all). They're plenty quiet and are great in the rain and on the road so far (in comparison to my old km2's in a similar size.....though neither tire touch the claws I had).

Anyways....it's just 4dr coils, so no lift. They fill the wheel well ok, but I like a taller tire with some space in the wheel well- so they fit the bill for me.
