Default Tires...

OK....I know there are a lot of tire threads....I need to know where do y'all go to get your tires?? We were supposed to get tires from someone my hubby knows- well it seems that is falling thru... I want to go get tires today ( or tomorrow) So where do I go? I know Costco carries tires?? I know I want MUD Terrains ( ) and I know I want bigger tires like 32's or 33's... Is there anyplace you would recommend-- or tell someone to stay away from?? Like Belle Tire?? ( although I have had GREAT service at the one by us-- they always take care of me...) Opinions, please....

Any of the major tire stores will probably have plenty of tires in stock. Depending on how you are going to use your Jeep, you could get by with AT's. I've had good luck with BFG's for many years. If you want aggressive, NOW, then the BFG Mud Terrains or the Goodyear MTR are pretty good for something you may be able to drive in and put on today. The absolute best buys are on line, and there are lots of references and links here in the forum. You might have to wait a week or so for delivery, but you get what you want for the price you want. If you drive up to a tire store today, you are limited to what they have and price is not usually negotaible. Another tip.....if a store says they have to order the tires, most likely they will get on line and order them the same as you would. I've actually seen this. You are far better off studying the forums, looking at the products on line and then ordering exactly what you want.

I bought my 35" procomp tire thru the dealer as they gave me 5 for the price of 4 AND they gave me $300 back on the factory tires which had 6,000 miles on them.
It's worth a shot as it was cheaper straight up and I doubt I could have sold my used ones very easily.

If you have a Discount tire in your area they also give trade ins on your used tires. The price can vary considerably from one manager to the next but it's always worth a shot. Also I second the motion on the BFG's they are great both in the AT's and the MT's. You just pay a little more for them....unfortuntaley!
Good luck and remember pics once completed!
