Default Tires.....Going crazy picking the best ones

I ordered a 3 inch lift for the jeep (2-dr Rubi). Of course the Jepp wont be here until they get off their butts and build it but,,,,,,, I also ordered the AEV 17 x 8 wheels with the 4.75 backspacing. I plan on running a 35 x 12.5 x 17 tire or 315 / 70/ 17. I love the look of the mud tires (aggressive looking) but this is a daily driver 80% of the time so I dont want to comprimise the ride quality and noise. Im most likely looking at an all terrain or a very quiet mud terrain. My old standby for at's is BFG KO. Give me you actual thoughs based on tires that you have used. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

happy with my Kumho KL71's. I can hear them a tad, but it's nothing like a swamper, and nothing that turning the radio up a 1/4 won't overcome. Nice price, aggressive, and I think the tires get more looks from people then the Jeep does.

I just ordered by rims and tires and am waiting for delivery. I hit a few sites that rated tires all around. I was in favor of the BFGs, but at last minute changed to the Toyo ATs due to noise rating and wear rating were superior to the BFGs. Can't really tell you more until they are on the end of this week.

Use all terrains like BF Goodrich or Bridgestone for a daily driver. They both have great warranty's and they are quiet for the most part. Any tire 33" or larger will have a slight hum and of course the larger you go the louder. Its a Jeep... personally I want them to hear me comin'. I run 37" Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's...and they are loud as shit!!! That only means louder stereo!

Nitto Terra Grapplers have served me very well. Quieter than the BFG's, great in the rocks, good in the snow.

Cooper STT's, they are a MT but very impressed with them on noise and ride. Running 35x12.5's. This is a daily driver that sees more highway than offroad unfortunatley. The 35's kinda suck on the highway when you are doing 60+, more so around 75 or so. I have 4:10's and auto, might eventualy change gears or go to a smaller tire but not bad... Off subject, Cooper STT's!

My vote is for the Firestone Destination M/T or the Bridgestone Dueler M/T both are made by the same company

How do you like the MTZ's? I was thinking about getting those 'till I found a deal on these Bighorns. Had them offroad yet?

I have heard one person on this site (can't remember who) say that his Bighorns are loud, but mine are pretty quiet . I guess tire noise is relative. They don't bother me. My last daily driver was a CJ-8 Scrambler though (CJ's aren't known for a quiet ride). After they've worn a little, they'll probably get louder I guess.
