Exclamation Tires - Selection and Advice!!

So I did as much homework as I could and narrowed down my tire choice to 6 finalists. What I would like is some advice and some help on selection based on the use I will get out of them. I'll start off by letting you all know that I plan on lifting up 2.5 inches with a Teraflex coil lift w/ shock extenders (maybe budget boost if someone will convince me to). I will be using my stock 17 inch wheels. I know i need spacers, already looking at Spidertrax. I want to run a 33x12.5R17 tire. Here are my choices:

Dick Cepek
-----Mud Country
-----Crusher
Mickey Thompson
----- Baja ATZ Radial
----- Baja Claw Radial
-----MTZ
Nitto
----- A/T Terra Grappler

I'll follow up by stating that my Jeep is my daily driver and I probably only put on about 5k miles per year. I plan on doing some camping/trail driving but no heavy mudding or wheeling. please help me decide!!

Sorry to but into your thread, but I want to do the same thing, but was told at the tire dealer that they could not put a 12.5 on my stock 17" wheels. Also, they said I would need to buy spacers as well. Could someone help me clear this up as well.....

You can put 'wider' tires on the narrow stock rims - but since the tire manufacturers do not recommend it, some tire shops will say no. (look at the specs for any tire, they will have a recommended rim width range) All JK rims are either 7.0 or 7.5" wide, so mfg's don't want you stuffing 12.50 wide tires on them...

If you go that wide on stock rims, the extra tire width may rub somewhere. The fenders, the plastic skid, the bumper, one of the steering/suspension components, etc. So it is recommended to get wheel spacers to push the tires further out.

The other option may be to chop whatever is contacting, or crank in the steering stops a bit. Depends on where you're rubbing...

Check the Wheels & Tires FAQ if you haven't browsed it already.

I'll be abrupt and say that BFG is just played out for me. I've read dozens of posts now about "BFG this...BFG is the best!" and I don't want to just follow the crowd...sorry

"Wide" here on the forum is running the Dick Cepek Mud Country's. If you don't want to "run with the crowd" I think you will be pleasantly surprised with Mud Country's.

I am running the BFG KM2's and I will be hard pressed not to go with the DC's when these wear out.
