Default Tires Turning Blue in the Mud

I noticed some tires turn Blue when playing in the Mud and some don't (or at least not as fast as others). My stock Duelers turned Blue around the lettering and I could never really get them back to normal. I noticed in this months Peterson's Off-Road Magazine that their JK is sporting BFGoodrich's New KM2 Tires and they turned ridiculously Blue after a few days in the mud also.

I've been in the mud twice with my new Mickey Thompson Baja's and don't see any blue yet but, Im wondering if there something to apply before mudding to prevent this or any cleaning recommendations?

Default Blue tires

I think the mag I read said that they turned blue due to the heavy metals in the mud.

Well at least this makes it clear that its not the brand of tire and it can happen to any, But still... how can we prevent this or take care of it if it happens?

In one pix, it looks like they drove through Smurf Village. I would hate it if my tires looked like that and I couldn't do anything about it!
