Default Tires and wheels???

Ok I think Ive come to a conclusion. Just want to run it by everyone. I have an auto 08 unlimited X. It came with 17 " wheels. I am going to put 16X8 Black Rock Steelies with a 4.25 offset. I can Get a great price from a local wholesaler on Kumho Venture MTKL 71, They are a 285 75 16 All terrain. Any feedback is welcome.....?????.....

Good choice on not trying to force fit 15" rims.

What load rating are the Kumho's you are considering?

The E range tires will likely provide a stiff ride on the road.

Aside from price of tires, is there any functional and cosmetic differences between the 16" and 17" rims?

I run 315/75/16 Kuhmo ATs on 16x8's with 4.25bs...really like the set up and it looks great as well. The Kuhmo tires have held up great, and a very reasonably priced as well.

I personally like 16's better over 17". You get more tire flex and the tires are a little less $$

Why is that a good choice. If you do it the right way there is no reason to not have 15" wheels. I recently put on 15" ProComp Series 97 and had zero issues. I think the key is the backspacing. I went with a 3.75 BS and the punch outs easily clear the calipers. Besides the financial benefits to 15's, I personally would much rather have more rubber than rim.

So what size dimensions for both a 16 and 17 inch rim, to fit 33"-34" tires and not need spacers? Or will I need spacers? I wanna get rims, maybe Black Rocks or Procomp, and I'm rim retarded....bolt pattern, etc. Gracias amigos
