Hey guys, brand new to the forum but not jeeps.

I just(on thur 10/24) had my 2011 Rubi lifted with the 2" OME susp kit and the rear end is wayy higher than the front...do I need to put spacers up front?? just wondering if riding at this angle will hurt anything in the long run.

had to adjust my headlights up a good bit because of the angle pointing more towards the ground. any info or advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks a lot

hopefully this pic loads, see how high the rear sits

Looks like the springs aren't matched. It should sit near level. I'd have the shop check the spring part numbers.

Perfect set-up for drag racing!

Seriously though, I have the OME lift (got it two months ago). Based on the picture, I suspect you have standard coils up front and HD coils in the rear. Your rear looks similar to mine, but the front is low. They are both called 2" coils, but the HD coils net closer to 3.25"-3.5". Do you have the boxes the coils came in? If so, you can see on the ARB website which coils you have.

If you tell me the numbers on the box, I can check it for you as well.

thanks for the replies guys. actually when i ordered the kit from 4wheelparts, they said they were out of the kits but they had all the parts in stock separately. i would think they messed up on the rear and gave me the HD as you said and the light up front. Seeing as this is their fault, does anyone know how they usually handle these situations? im gonna call Will @ 4wheelparts right now and see what he says. He claims he called ARB and they had updtaed their part #s for the coils and i assume that is where the mistake was made...

i will be home in a couple hours and will give the #s on the box. i guess now i have to pay to have the rear end changed out? thanks again

ACTUALLY, OME has them as 2.25 inch for the rear and 2.0 front. Go to thee ARB "application guide."

Or, get a set of JKS ACOS for the front.

In terms of the solution, I will say this. I have the HD coils on a 2-door and they ride a lot stiffer than I want, especially in the rear. Partly because I don't have much weight on my Jeep. If you have heavy aftermarket bumpers, etc., then they will be ok. Plus, the HD coils gave me close to 3.5", which is more than I wanted. For that much lift, I would rather have the EVO plush ride (or have waited the month for MetalCloaks 2.5" 2-door coils). I'll be swapping lifts for the third time in 9 months this spring...

**UPDATE**
yea I saw that the rear is 2.25", but I can literally fit 2 iPhones between the top of the rear tire and the fender. called ARB and 4wheelparts, and they are gonna do the medium coil swap in the rear and I only get charged $30 for the labor. I thought it was pretty fair eventhough it was their mistake. I am happy to have this scheduled for this froday(1st) so I don't have to ride on this dragster-lookin-jk for too much longer.

and just for reference for anyone considering lift and tires. 33" tire factory rims and OME kit, I went from 21mpg to 17.8mpg. fairly significant drop in fuel economy...but when I purchased this bad boy, I was buying a JEEP, not a Prius.

Thanks guys!

yea I totally agree with you in the rear and that high of a lift has to be detrimental to at least a couple parts in the long run? I don't want anybody to think I am displeased, I think the lift looks awesome and the ride quality is great.

if anyone is looking for a great stance on a 2dr, I think that 33" tires with 1.5" wheel spacers are the way to go...I love mine! and my tires are about a half inch outside the fenders...VERY pleased!
