Out of the three that you chose heres my 2 cents...

The KM2s run small, as in the 37s look more like 35s/36s but I hear that they wear very well. Also I hear that theyre no good in the rain.

MTR-Ks run pretty big for a 37 compared to the KM2s. They are very good on the rocks and the rain. Ive been told by an offroad shop they are not good in the mucky mud because theyre not self cleaning.

I am not familiar with the Nitto Trail Grapplers. As for the Mud Grapplers, theyre no good. The only reason I say this is because a guy I know tore the sidewall on all 4 of his 37x13.5R17s. When I say tore I mean there was a giant gash from the shoulder up to the bead. That was just from daily driving on them. Heres a pic...

This is when it first started

This is the end result

Im staying away from Nittos and buying the MTR-Ks! Mainly because they dont run small and theyre good as for daily driving.

The 38s are not available in 12.5? They jump up to 14.5" wide!

I saw that comment about the nittos. That seems to be a rare issue that affects the mud grapplers only.

I wouldn't stay away from the tires for that reason. I hear that the MTR/Ks can not balance for crap.

KM2s are good tires, but just small.

Yes. Every tire has a pro and a con.

If the KM2s ran true to size, I would suggest those in a SNAP. Out of the 3 decisions - I would still prefer the trail grappler. And I consider myself a tire "whore" and 90% of my online time is spent researching tires.

If you are concerned about the km2's being undersized, you can always go up a size. The 38x14.5's run 37.8.

There was a tire review in the latest Four Wheeler (I think, it may have been Petersons 4x4). Pretty good write up. Hankooks took the trophy. Pretty impressive if the article was 100% honest.

That example is the only one Ive seen in person some other guys running Nitto mud grapplers around here are also having that problem. With my luck it would happen to me so no thanks Nitto.

Ive heard when the MTR-Ks first came out no one could balance them but now Im hearing they fixed that. I would get KM2s but Im not paying $2000 for undersized tires...

Did you see how much the price jumps going from running 37 KM2s to 38 KM2s? Ridiculous!

Well, it is two inches wider

If you're running 16 inch rims, the LT365/75R16/C is almost one third the price of the 38 and runs about 37.6x14.3 (on a 10" wide rim).

If you really want sticker shock, check out of set of BFG Krawlers. Especially when you consider they'll probably not make it to 30k.
