I just got a 1.5 max travel kit from NR 4x4 and no flat spots. I believe it's the same control arms as the 2.5.

Everyone was blowing out old stock about 2 months ago though I don't know when they started realizing we needed assistance holding the arms.

I used a proper pipe wrench on the arm itself, a 1.5inch open end on the nut, and used some metal slabs I had in the shop to hold the bearing end centered. Touch up the arm with enamel paint. Done.

Someone post pictures of these flat spots!

It's not uncommon to get old stock inventory with RK long after they "updated" their products.
That said, I should have a new set of arms in next week and I'll follow up on whether they have flats or not; they *should* be the newest arms available.

I was told only the front uppers. The flats are to adjust the arm in vehicle.

I clocked them first on the rig and then took them off one at a time. I don't have a work bench that is stout enough so I used my 14' motorcycle trailer to tighten mine. Where the 4" channel comes out in front I put the long arms across and using some pieces of steel as shown before for shims and flat plate and "C" clamps was able to tighten them with crows foot wrenches and pipe cheaters on 1/2" breaker bars. The neighbors must have wondered "what the hell" with me standing up on the front of that mess and my wife trying to keep me from breaking a hip.

Made these spacers to tighten my RK jam nuts.
I tried using the vice at my house and it wasn't strong enough to grab the edge of the joint. It also left marks in the joint. Hoping these work.

Held the joint in a vise and used a 1.5 crows foot on a 25" breaker. At with a 18" pipe wrench on the arm. Torqued the best I could. Marked the jam nut and arm drove it a few days. Nothing moved. On day 3 got it aligned and had the shop add red loc tight and crank em down. My original marks still match 100%.
