Default Total height of a lifted JK

Here's the deal, I'm curious just how tight of a fit my Jeep will have squeezing through a 7' tall garage door after a 3" lift and 35"s. I wouldn't mind leaving it outside, but bastard children like to break into vehicles at night. Anyway, I know what the factory spec height is (and I measured it myself, 6' total) and I know how to add the numbers, but the reality is that the numbers won't always add up. So has anyone tried or succeeded in fitting their lifted jeep into their garage again.

Mine with approximately a 3" lift and 35's measures approx. 76-77" at the highest point. Stock height is about 72-73". Mine fits in my garage fine.

Lay a 2x4 across your top close to the highest point. Measure from the ground to the top of the board. Now measure your garage door opening. Will it fit ?

Also depends on whether you have a soft top or hard top. Soft top is a few inches higher than a hard top.

I had the same worries because i lifted mine in the garage and was hoping i could get out, and mine is 6' 10" because of the broken door. Once all was said and done with a FT 3" lift and 35" MTZ's, it rolled out with inches to spare, you wont have a problem!

I have a 6" lift and 37" tires and it fits in my 7' garage. It is a hard top.

You can do it!

I have the same measured height and plan on getting FT 3" Ultimate with 35's.

Thanks guys, I've got the lift kit in the garage right now, I've just been waiting for the tires to arrive. At least now I can breath a sigh of relief. (it is a soft top, but it still measured close to 73" at the very back of the Jeep. I figured that, that's where the highest point would be due to the rake.
