Default Touch Up Pro Comp Extreme Rims

Anyone have advice on touching up Pro Comp Extreme Rims? What paint should I use? ANy special prep I should be aware of? I've got some worn spots on the edges and you can see the alloy and it is driving me nuts. Thanks

I have the Pro Comp 8179s. When I had them mounted the first time, the technician chipped the black powder coating near the center hub hole. I used black touch up paint with some clear touch up and this came out just fine. I bought the touch up paint at Advance Auto.

If it's trail rash, appreciate it instead of letting it bother you.

This ...

resulted in this (and similar on the other three wheels) ...

And I'm delighted with it.

Spoke to Eric at Pro Comp USA. He suggested Rustoleum Professional Grade 7578. He said it will match perfectly. I now have a weekend project to complete.

Default Rim Restoration Begins Tonight

Well my restoration of my Pro Comp Extreme Rims begins tonight. I will follow instructions given to me by Eric (ProComp Customer Service). We'll see what the verdict is. They can't come out any worse than they already look so what the heck. I will post pictures of the process once I get going. FIrst up is the spare tire.

Spare is done and it looks great. I'll post pics tomorrow night when the entire project is finished. Just cleaned up my Gorilla Lugs. Heading out for a ride with some buds to Bull Run Canyon, then dinner at San Tan Flats. Have a good one!

How did they turn out? The dealership destroyed my rims when putting my new tires on.
