Saw this picture while browsing the forum. Can anyone explain what brand this bracket is? Looks like it might be a good tow bar baseplate that has less exposure to damage while wheeling. Only concern is that it looks like it is attached to the jeep with with some skimpy bolts.

I've never towed my vehicle before so bare with me. I like the look of this bracket. Would it be functional with other tow bars besides the currie one?

Jay, The tow bar bracket will work with other tow bars of the same type.



Note that the tow bar mounting plate comes with adapters that hook up to the universal tow bar.

 

Thanks for info and link. Does anyone know if this bracket can be used with a blue ox or roadmaster tow bar. Can you buy adapters and if so where?

I prefer those tow bars versus the fixed arm type, plus they remain attached to the hitch on the motorhome when not in use.

 

I think they will, but you can always call Currie and ask.
