Default Towing with leveling kit?

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a leveling kit. However, we might be buying a pop up camper in the next year (1600-1700 lbs dry weight). Which kit would be the best for mild towing...the Teraflex spacer kit or the performance leveling kit with the new springs? Does it even make a difference?

I believe your only concerns would be in your adjustable receiver hitch. Regardless of your vehicles height you adjust the hitch to level the trailer tongue height. You always want your trailer Level. The tongue of the trailer should never sag down or lifted higher.

I run a modified Teraflex leveling kit with the springs and trailer towing is not a problem at all.

The height I'm at (in relation to the tow hitch) with the lift and 33" tires is about the same as most pickup trucks running around. I don't need any special hitch drops or adjustments. An inline setup works just fine and the trailer is level with the jeep.

I ran the Daystar 1.75" in the front no problem. I tow a 2,999# 6x12 enclosed trailer.

Thanks for the input. My main concern is the weight of the trailer on the spring spacers. When towing, would replacement springs be the best, or will the Teraflex spacers be ok?

The majority of the weight of the trailer will be on it's own axle, you're only adding the tongue weight to your Jeep's suspension. If you're really concerned I'd go with the TF springs over the spacers. It's only a $300 difference and will give you peace of mind.

I have the spacers and wish I did the springs. I ended up tossing on some 19/60's to help out.

I'ved towed a 3,500 lbs pop up (pup) with the leveling kit (spacers from teraflex). No issues. It is a dog, but could always be slower!

With 1,700 lbs you'll be golden!

We towed a trailer with Kawasaki mule and a LOT of gear up to Colorado. I think we were probably around 2500~3000 lbs and it pulled okay. SLOW up the passes, but did well.

The sag would have happened even with after market springs. We were loaded down pretty good.

Ive towed my boat (16' about 2100 lbs) and my Dad's boat (18' about 3500 lbs) when I had the TF 1 1/2 leveling kit. Didnt have any problems other than my Jeeps lack of horsepower.

Thanks for all of the input! I currently have 19/59 springs, so I think I'll just do the Teraflex leveling spacer kit and call it good.

Thanks again!
