Toyo O.C. AT's are quiet and ride very smooth on road. Very good in snow, but not great in deep mud; though I never got stuck.

I run the Toyo MT's. They wear evenly, grip like no other, but howl like crazy on the road. Mine's not my DD though. Just saying, Toyo's are well engineered tires.

What kind of milage can you expect with the Toyo AT?
I too have seen the reviews and there a quite a few of them that I attributed to running an improper service description on a heavier vehicle. That's not to say that wear isn't an issue, but more than a few people who have bought these tires on 3 ton vehicles and can't get enough air in them to actually support the vehicle. 3 of the 5 LT tires they have at about 33" or larger won't cut it for a full size pick up or a heavier SUV. Go figure, they end up with wear issues.

However for my money, I would much prefer to have the Toyo MTs siped and they will perform as well as most ATs.

If you are looking for an AT tire...I dont think you can get a better tire than the Duratrac's.

There are better MT's out there but for an AT....it has bite like an MT and it's all around an amazing tire!!!!

On my F 250 I got over 50,000 miles; they were load range E.

On my JK, I have over 20,000 miles and they have only worn 2/32" off so far. I just moved them to my wife's Sahara because her Bridgestone's had a horrible highway ride. She is very happy with the ride, it is very smooth and quiet. I got my bigger tires and got rid of those Bridgestone's. I put Yokohama's on mine because I wanted a larger tire with more aggressive tread; the Toyo's are on national backorder in the size I wanted. The Firestone Destination is another great tire to consider. Guys in the Midwest are giving it rave reviews for quiet ride and great snow traction. They are less expensive than the Toyo's.

When I was tire hunting for a snow ready, but off roadable tire, everyone raved about Duratracs, and now I see why. They really are awesome. Mine have a slight hum on the road, which IMHO sounds good. You can just hear it without the radio. Offroad they are incredible. I'v plowed through plenty of mud with them without a hitch. If you want an A/T, go Duratrac.

Default Toyo's have short mileage.

I realize this is a Jeep forum, and I have a Jeep but as far as the Toyo tires I run them on my 04 Dodge dually, and am on my 2nd set. I live in Reno, Nevada, and we have quite a bit of snow in the winter. I can say the AT's are great in the snow, and living in the country depend on good snow tires BUT the mileage sucks on them. I take the truck in every 4-5,000 miles, and have the tires rotated but still only got 25,000 miles on the first set, and will probable only get the same on the 2nd set. I will not be getting a 3rd set as for what they cost especially for 6 tires I am going to try something else. I also with being "E" rated tires like the stout sidewalls for heavy loads, and wished they just got better mileage for their cost.
Now on a Jeep they may do a lot better as far as mileage is concerned but not willing to take the chance.
Just my .02 cents from personal experience.

Larry
