Just remember you're going from 37s to 35s and from an 18" wheel to a 16" wheel. You'll need to buy new wheels if you want to fit the Toyos. I don't think it's worth it. Your ATZs only have 4k miles on them.

Folks on the forum like the Toyos, but there are plenty of other great tires on the market - the ATZs being one of them. I personally prefer the BFG KM2s or the new Goodyear MT/Rs with Kevlar before the Toyos.

I have had to toyos on all my jeeps and they are amazing for what they are. You will not be sorry at all. Less rim also means a smoother ride and more sidewall when offroading. I had an 18 and went down to 16 and I love it.

The Toyo's are excellent tires specially if you do a lot of rocks, but I think the MTZ will do better in mud, snow and sand.

Besides 4K is not much mileage unless they are all off road and the MTZs are worth more than the Toyos.

Not a big fan of the Toyo's on muddy trails. I'm guessing you have a lot of those where you wheel. Also, they are heavy and IMO that causes premature wear on some suspension components.

he has ATZs so he would be going from an all terrain to a mud terrain

Best tire I have run....I am on my second set of Toyo M/T's on my Ram CTD. They are very quiet, wear very well, very strong side-wall, no chunking of lugs and never had a flat tire or side-wall puncture or failure with them. I run these tires 60% Forest Service roads and 40% pavement. first set lasted me +85K kilometers (55K miles) and currently I have 45K kilometers on my second set and I have over 1/2 tread life left.

I do rotate the tires every 7500km (5K miles). The only drawback of the Toyo's are they are HEAVY suckers!

My issue is, I have a great set of Mickey T ATZ 37 x18's with no wheels to fit my JK. 18 wheels are very $$$. Even if I decide to keep them and pony up for the right size wheels, need quote a few downstream mods to properly run them.

35x16's= not much smaller. plus I got a set of soft 8 16" wheels that will work great. atz have very good rep. They are a very good dd, offroad tire esp. where I live(Northwest of Canada, I.E. alaska). But all things considered, I can't afford the wheels and other needed mods to run the 37X18'S. The 35x16's, on the other hand= I've already got the wheels but no tires. No need for immediate additional mods. Is this an apple to apple trade or are Mickey T's to Toyo's more like a five diamond porn star princess to Gieco Gecko type trade.
