Toyo tires
I noticed that the 35/1250/17 and 37/1350/17 toyo mts come in load range E. Can you air down enough to go off road with a tire in load range E i have a 2 dr so my jeep is not near as heavy as 2500 3500 truck. Toyo does make a 35/1350/15 and 37/1450/15 in a load range C would that be a better route to go with my 2 dr or does it really matter?
Yes you can air down enough to go offroad. WOL does in his JK's all the time, and here's mine from our last trip. (These are 33.5's, but still E-load.) I think I was at about 15 psi here, and probably could/should have gone down a bit more.
You just need to air down a bit more than you would with a C or D rated tire.

Well, I've been running the Toyos for quite some time now (35x12.5x17) and I have to say they hold up awesome, both on and off the trail. The sidewalls are super heavy duty. I usually air down to 15psi but have gone as low as 10. They are really gripping on the rocks. I've put my Toyos through alot of use and abuse and they haven't let me down.

But I'd go with the chalk test to see what works best for you, if you go with them. Great tires overall, IMO. The overall "awesomeness" more than makes up for the slight increase in weight.

32-34 works for me (but then again - I'm running a 33.5"). Every time I go in for balancing work or something similar, the shop keeps shooting them up to 45+ (dammit!)

(That's probably the first time I've ever advised someone to look at a smaller tire!

I've got 5.13 gears and install kits chromoly shafts f/r a Aussie locker for the d30 and a Detroit for the d44 sitting in my spare bed room right now I've already installed the c gussets sleeves and lca skids. I could order my lift right now if I wanted to I just have to make up my mind on a tire size. If I do 35s ill do the teraflex 3in with full flex arms and trac bars and get rear ext brake lines instead of the bracket. If I do 37s ill do the 4in mid arm from teraflex with the draglink flip kit and frame brace ill run the 9550s on which ever way I go.
