i run toyos on my white jk and mt/r's on my orange now and i like both. i my opinion, the toyos are better on just about everything but, the mt/r's are cheaper and the tread seems to last a lot longer.

oh, forgot to add, the toyos are heavier

I shopped and researched, at great length, before dropping the cash on 35's. Went with the MTR's. Their awesome. Haven't had a chance to really wring them out off road yet, but on road I couldn't be happier.

35's are only about 64 #'s. I think the Toyos are over 80.

I run 35" Toyo's and love them. Never had MTR's but I hear they are a good tire as well. However, I will keep using Toyo's when these die.

My experience with two sets of toyos is that they need to rotated religiously (and don't forget to include your spare in the rotation). They cup faster that any other tire I've owned.

I've had both MTRs and Toyos. I have 35s toyos now and rotate regularly and can tell you they are awesome in the rocks in Moab,But they wear very fast. 20,000 miles and they are close to being replaced. I think I will go with the new kevelars next.

I had 33" Toyo's before my lift and loved them. But HEAVY! Had to get unsprung weight down so I went with MTR with K 35's. Haven't done much with em yet. Toyo's much better look (IMHO) but road noise less with the MTR. Ice conditions handle well by MTR, (surprisingly). Mileage up with (larger) MTR. Have not off roaded yet so the verdict is out there.
