Default TPM sensors

If I understand correctly the TPM sensors signal only when your tire pressure drops below a setpoint,,,,is that correct ?

I am getting ready to take my new wheels to my local tire dealer to have my KM2's mounted.

Is there any reason I have to move the TPM sensors to the new wheels ? Will the warning start showing up after I remove the stock wheels ? If it is just a low pressure warning I personally do not care about the feature. I plan on keeping my stock wheels/tires in the basement in case/when I decide to change Jeeps and rather not break them down for the sensors.

If you don't have the sensors from the stock wheels put in the new wheels you will get the 4 dings and the light on the dash will stay on. If your new wheels won't accept the sensors, it won't matter anyway. If you don't want them to transfer them, same difference. If you do transfer them and they will mount on the new wheels then it will work as before.

It's easy for them to move too so I say go for it.
