Does anyone know if stock TPMS from a 08 work in a 2012?

Somebody got to know . I don't want to sell them to this guy if their not going to work for him.

I think they changed the radio frequency sometime after 2008. Don't know for sure.
A tire shop, with a TPMS programmer, should be able to answer your question.

The 2008 sensors are not the same and will not work with 2012. I tried them, no go.

OK thanks He's buying my M.T. MTZs and wheels and I have my stock TPMS from my stock wheels and didnt want to sell them to Him if they dont work.

They are in looks also the ones on the 08 were metal above the rim the 12's are rubber, my 2012 has the same rims as my 08 had, but like was said the frequency must be different.

I just put new 2012 take-offs on my '08 and they don't work either.

sounds like I just need a shop with a 'TPMS Programmer' vs having the actual sensors swapped?
