Default Tpms

I am putting on new wheels and tires this weekend, and am not going to have the TPMS units transfered into the new wheels. Has anyone else done this and any issues with this? I was going to go to the dealer and have them flash the computer to "0" lbs, and adjust for the new tires at the same time.

Any comments?

I don't know if the dealership will set it to "0" or not. Since it has been mandated that vehicles over 2008 are required to have a TPMS I don't think a dealership will turn it off. Of course there are always the exceptions and you may be able to find someone to turn it off.

Check out any of the AEV ProCal threads...

(especially if your dealer is one that charges for flashing the computer!)

Just leave the sensors out and use a ProCal to turn them off (set to 0). It will set the tire size too
