Default Tpms On Cragar Soft 8's

Can anyone running Cragar soft 8's out there, tell me if you can use the TPMS sensors on them? Also if you do have Soft 8's, where is the cheapest place for 17x9's?

Don't have 'em but from what I've read here so far the TPMS don't work with the soft 8s yet. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

What if I keep the spare on the back with the sensor in? Will that be good enough?

I'm running them in my "08 with soft 8's. It chimed at first, but I had the dealer flash it down to 28 psi, now all is good. No problems here. I'm sure it would chime if I were to air down though.

I believe you have to run all 5 for the system to work properly, not just the spare. There are many threads on here about guys experimenting with the TPMS, lots of ideas, not sure if any of them work 100%.

Question

So you actually had them put on your soft 8's then took it in to be flashed, correct?
If you dont mind me asking where did you get your soft 8's?

Yes, the TPM's were swapped from my OEM's, mounted in the soft 8's, then took it to the dealer for the flash.

I got mine from a local tire chain (Tire-Rama). They ordered them direct from Cragar, took 3 days. Think I paid $260 mounted/balanced.

Wow that is good. Discount tire was going to charge me $340. I thought that is too much. I also see you are looking to do the teraflex as I am myself. What kind of backspacing do these rims have? and are you 17x9 or 17x8?

I also have them in my Soft 8's and they do function. I never got a chime but if I air down I have an indicator on the gauge cluster.
