Default TPMS modifcation/ remount

Hi Guys and Girls,

This is for you all who wheel hard and think you might kill your metal vavle stems.

After Rhonda killed 3 of hers on RubyJeep while wheelin this past weekend, we went to our local Discount tire and talked about what to due and they have brackets available to move them into the wheel then use a banding strap/huge pipe clamp/clamps to mount them in the middle of the wheel.

I applogize about the pics but we only had Rhonda's cell phone and i did want to share this revelation with you all.

If i put this in the wrong place, please feel free to move it.
Kat

Haven't seen that one before, but a great way to protect the TPMS valve stems since they are like $50 a piece.

It looks to be opposite of the new valve stem. Might be easier to balance.

Default Great pics...

....So those are the stock OEM sensors, just mounted differently? Is the TPMS system working fine?

This is how Ford Motor Company mounts most of their TPMS sensors in their new vehicles. Most mechanics I've talked to despise this type of setup. My tire/wheel guy mounted my stock sensors just fine in my AEV wheels.
So, to each their own....

Default Hey JKKAT...

...if you wouldn't mind, what did Discount Tire charge to modify the TPMS?
