I got new wheels for my Willys and the people at Discount tire reused the stock sensors on the new wheels. Total cost to mount my five stock tires and sensors on aftermarket wheels was around one hundred and fifty or so. I don't remember the exact amount.

I ended up buying new sensors for the new wheels. I want to sell the factory wheels without messing with them. That's the only reason I opted for new sensors and I can monitor air as a convenience as others on this thread mentioned. So this topic is now closed. Thanks everyone for the fast responses. This forum is the best!!

Some shops by law have to install them into vehicles that are 2008 or later. So they will say they can't do it and charge you the extra fees. Find an off-road shop that will pull them out and put that money towards a Superchips or similar.

When I got a new set of tires and rims the shop transferred them over for free. They asked me if I wanted them to! I would take it to another shop if it was me.

I transferred mine over to my new wheels and tires and adjusted the range with a Procal. I like having it, because I can check the PSI anytime to make sure all 4 tires are at the same PSI. I keep my 315/75/16's at 28.

that's my next question. How much psi should I run my 295/70-17 at? I'm at 32. Tire shop put them at 45! 😱
