My 2010 came with TPMS with black rubber stems. They did work, I got tired of the warning going off and got a procal to reset the threshold.

What magic is this?

I searched for black rubber stems that I could swap out and keep my sensors. If anyone has a part number or supplier please give it to me.

Per the several jeep dealer parts department, they changed to black stems late 2010 and have carried that into 2011. My 2011 had black stems.

UPDATE: I finally put the '11 Rubi wheels on with the newer black TPMS, my '08 X didn't seem mind or need a dealer flash or driving adjustment period. I aired a tire down to 25psi and within 100 yards of driving the light in the dash turned on and beeped. I aired it back up to 35 and within 50 feet the light turned off again. The different years of TPMS seem interchangeable to me.

I had black rubber stems on my steelies with TPMS on my Jeep that was built in April of 2010. I just upgraded this past Friday to 2011 Rubicon wheels with TPMS and they have black rubber stems too.
The TPMS works like a charm. As soon as the pressure drops on one wheel (not the spare) the light comes on and goes off as soon as you bring it back up.
I prefer to keep the light functional. That way it reminds me that I need to air up before going back out on the street.
