Default TPS keeps going off!

Hey guys I have Falken 285/70/17/s which come to around 32.8 inches and I did the chalk test and the psi I found that all tread hit the pavement was 32 and now everytime I get in my jeep the TPS keeps going off. Any suggestions on anything to stop that or just put the psi to 35?

Default Spare

Do you have your spare on?
If so make sure it is at the correct PSI as well.
I am running 285/70/17 with the factory spare and my have not gone off.

I have the spare on as well but I didnt even think to check that. The spare probably has 45psi which was what they had all 4 set at before I decreased the psi to 32. What are you running you tires at? I had no idea the spare had to be set the same as well.

Default Be honest

To be honest I am not sure.
The tire place does that when I have them rotated and balanced. I think mine are at 35. That is what it was with my old set of tires and the light went off. It was winter and all of my tires including the spare were down to 30 or so. I put them all at 35 and the light went off.

All 5 have to be accurate for TPS warning light to not go off. I believe too much air will set them off as well. I believe from the factory they are set to go off any time the PSI is off more than a certain percentage (Toyotas are20%, not sure about these) from the stock tires. Any of the programmers can either turn this function off or change the base PSI.

So if I set all 5 at 34 or 35psi I should be fine?

Default Tpms

Get yourself a Procal programer. Then you can change your base pressure down and lower your tires to the 32 psi you acheived in your chalk test to get the best ride. The alarm won't go off but you will still be protected if it drops below your new set piont.

It could be a bad sensor though.

I dropped my pressure to 20psi for wheeling a few days ago. After I left the trail I pressured back up to 35, but the TPS hasn't turned off. That was on Saturday.

I'll probably be calling the dealer soon unless someone here has any ideas.
