Default Track bar

Need some opinions if possible I’m getting ready to put a 3 inch lift BDS on my two door JK 2011, I’m installing the front control arms uppers and lowers but my question is how much is my front going to be off-center if I do not install a tracking bar,

BDS is not a great kit to install and the axle will be very far off with 3" of lift. Buy the track bar please. Hopefully you have something planned for the rear as well, like an axle side bracket to raise the track bar mount in addition to a longer bar.

Default T bar

The kit came with a rear drop down bracket for the factory bar, I’m getting the kit installed Saturday so it’s probably too late to order a front tracking bar, if I see it’s going to be off that much I’ll bring it home leave it and buy a new tracking bar adjustable from TeraFlex, thanks for the info

Drop brackets are a poor way to go. So is BDS. You should raise the axle side bracket. You will want a front adjustable track bar. You will have better handling on road.

Hey thanks for that information I’ll see what I can do with that rear track bar, as far as the BDS suspension kit too late for me now it’s already getting ready to be installed, It’s a daily driver for me anyways and I never go off road so hopefully it’ll work out, I just wanted to dress up that JK a little bit

well some don't like the bds (big dick suspension) I know people who are pretty hard core that run them and do great. No way of knowing how far off centered your front axle will be until you have the lift on. I have installed 3.5" lifts and the front axle was with in 1/4" in so every jeep is different. One thing is that kit generally comes with cam bolt adjusters to adjust caster. I would make sure you get either adjust lower front control arms or if for what you describe never offroad get geobrackets. they will do three things. give you a smoother ride on the small bumps, correct your caster and keep your front drive shaft happy. AEV ones are $105 and money well spent.

That’s good to know, for the control arms i am installing new uppers and lowers I wanted to make sure my geometry was back to stock, like I said I’ll get the jeep home I’ll check the center of how the frontend looks like, then I will order front and rear new tracking bar, It’s just gonna be a daily driver so I just wanted to get it back so it rides pretty smooth

geo brackets ride smoother than having adjustable control arms.

The flaw in your thinking here is that it takes a lot of effort to maintain a nice pavement handling machine. That is precisely why you want nice quality components and make sure you address all aspects. It has very little to do with aggressive offroading. Your logic is reverse.

I’m thinking of going with the rough country adjustable track bar‘s front and rear, I think the extreme terrain bars are a little bit too heavy duty for what I want to do,
