I have a 08 with 3 inch lift. I have read plan mans DW thread and believe its my Track bar. if its gone bad and oval as people say can I just replace with a used stock one? what's a good price on one of them? thanks!

First, you would want a adjustable one with 3" of lift. Second, you need to check the mounting bracket holes, not the bar ends. they are the most common for ovaling out.

You could actually weld some heavy washers in to round the holes out again.

If you have a high school shop class. Talk to the shop teacher about having someone weld it up for you.

Yeah, just check it out by pullin the track bar bolt down on the axle and inspect it. If oval, get some 9/16 flat washers and have your friend weld them on each side of the bracket and then get a longer 9/16 shouldered bolt (grade 8 if you can find it) and torque that sucker to about 125 ft pounds when you tightn it. Also make sure you don't shank the nut on the shoulder of the bolt before it tightens down. Ya might have to use a lock washer on the nut so ya dont shank the nut on th shoulder of the bolt.

Where I live, and that may be different from where you live....you could get that done at a welding shop for 30 bucks or so.....may even try a muffler shop, most of those guys can weld if you don't have a bonafied welding shop in town....good luck with it.
