Default Track bars and 2.5 BB quick help needed

Are adjustable Track bars necessary or reccommended with the teraflex 2.5 BB? I know they will recenter the axle and I know that is desirable. But does the BB affect axle centering enough to require them immediately? I have read tons of threads on this and it seems like some people either do not add them, some wait and others feel they are an immediate neccessity.

The reason I'm asking for quick help is: I am installing my 2.5 BB this weekend and I've been debating the track bars for weeks now. I probably will add them eventually, but I really cant afford to spend another dime on our rubi at this point (Fiance made me promise no more parts for awhile). but I keep staring at the Northridge 4x4 checkout page with the 5% discount. I dont know whether to pull the trigger or not. I hate to miss a sale on something I will need, its only 5%, but.. welll I think everyone knows my dilemma (big suprise Rupedog steered me towards the Jeepaholics thread )

Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

Last saturday:
  • Rubicon Express 2" Budget Boost with shocks
  • JKS Quicker Disconnects - Very cool, but need to pick up some spare snap rings for when i lose the ones they came with.
  • Teraflex adjustable trackbar front (Not really necesarry at this point, but did need a minor adjustment 1/8 to 1/4" or so off)
  • Teraflex adjustable trackbar rear - Wow am i glad i spent the extra and got this, the back axle was quite a way off (at least to me) when i was done, about 5/8 to 3/4" or so, and still needs a bit more tweaking.
In my opinion, on MY Jeep the rear was necesary. The front wasnt, but it would have drove me nuts with it being offcentered.

I am glad that i bought them and installed them at the same time.

im running the tera 2.5 No need for track bars here. She drives just as straight as she did before the lift.

I would suggest you install it then decide later if you really need it.

agreed. no hurry. I chose to do it because I pulled a little to the left after lift. I only put an adjustable on the back (somehow, the front is still centered - would love to hear an explanation on that!!!) to get the axle back in the center.

Once I measured it and saw how far it was off, it bugged me.

Pulling slightly improved. Going in for alignment this week.

Thanks for the advice! I decided to wait. I got the lift on this weekend and it drives straight. I can see the small amount of axle offset, but I decided not measure it. I knew it would bug me if I did! I can't believe how much better the stance is now with the lift and spacers! It should come like that from the factory. We did a little wheelin today and the extra height helped already goin over some dirt road blocks.
