Default Trackbar Bracket

I got the teraflex 2.5 coil lift. I have gotten most of the rear end done and it has been fairly easy. I am now to the point of putting the rear track bar bracket on. It says to use the template but where is it. What is the best way to get the hole drilled in the right place. I am taking the rest of the night off and will try and finish it tomorrow.

Also I am using air tools to put things back together. What do I need to torque is it just the bars. Or do I really need to torque the shock bolts ect.

my buddy and I did both of our kits and neither came with that template either, so i just measured twice and drilled it, as for tightness, the bigger the bolt the tighter I made it just recheck after a couple of days and you will be fine.

The template is on the last page of the Teraflex 2.5" budget boost. You can pull the directions from their website.

Most important things for you to torque are the trackbars as long as you can get them to 125-135 lbs youll be good to go.

So how are the frame mount brackets holding up? I've read where these have caused the axle mount welds to break. I've yet to put my lift on and am debating whether i should go with the frame mount or axle mount.

I believe it was the axle mounted brackets that caused problems. I have had My frame mounted bracket on My 2.5 bb for about 2 years with no issues. I fabbed My own bracket as teraflex did not offer a bracket at that time. Looks just like the one they now offer.

I hate my frame mounted drop bracket. Last trip I damaged the 2nd shock. The first shock was when I had a BB kit on, now I have 5 inch. lift in the rear and the drop bracket limits flex and will damage the shock. Looking at TeraFlex axle mounted bracket for lifts 3" and over.

That's right, I've also heard about the shock damage. Guess I'll go with the axle mount instead. I believe it will also work for the 2.5" budget boost.
