Default TrackBar torque and movement

Hi all
I have a wobble in my JK, definately not a shimmy. U can feel the spring oscilating up and down, and steering wheel side to side. This has only happened at slow speeds, so probably the reason this is not a death wobble. Anyway I checked my new adjustable Trackbar and noticed about 2-3mm of movement in it when my wife was wobbling the steering wheel side to side. I checked torque settings etc, and everything is OK. I removed and inspected the bushings and they look brand new. The trackkbar is only 1000km old, my JK has only 3500km on the clock. I reinstalled the original trackbar and it moves about the same as well. I have spoken to our Jeep aftermarket guys and they advise me to tighten the bolts up with the longest break bar you can. i did this, still movement. My question is, Should you tighten the trackbar above 125 ft/pds, and should there be any movement in the bush when you wobble the wheel side to side? The trackbar is an Aussie made bar, i have a 2.5" lift
Thanks
Tom

Good question. That is a tough nut to tighten.

Check the mounting hole on the brackets (frame/axle) to see if they have opened themselves up...if the original TB was loose or the aftermarket one was loose it will move around causing the holes to wallow out... you have both bolts torqed to 125, correct? And even though the bushings could look new, you may want to go ahead and replace them just to eliminate that angle...good luck
