Tracking a Rough Country 2.5 Coil Lift
 
So far, I have been pleased with RC. I took measurements just prior to installing the lift, right after I installed the lift and after the new tires were on. The measurements were taken from the top corner of stock bumpers using a level and a tape measure. Here are my measurements.

Before lift - Sept. 7, 2009
Drivers Side Passenger Side
F 25 3/16 - 24 7/8
R 26 1/2 - 26 1/16

After lift - Sept. 7, 2009
Drivers Side Passenger Side
F 28 1/2 - 28 1/16
R 27 5/8 - 27 1/16

After new tires - Sept. 8, 2009
Drivers Side Passenger Side
F 30 - 30 1/8
R 29 1/4 - 29 1/2

*I DO NOT KNOW THE FUEL LEVEL WHEN THE INITIAL MEASUREMENTS WERE TAKEN

September 29, 2009 with a full tank of gas
Drivers Side Passenger Side
F 30 1/16 - 29 7/8
R 29 1/4 - 28 3/4

I will take monthly measurements and post them.

I had to travel for work today and was able to get the fuel tank down to ~1/8 tank. I took new measurements.

Drivers Side Passenger Side
F 30 1/16 - 30
R 29 1/4 - 29

I also was put a 3' level on my step bars and my Jeep sits perfectly level.

Thanks for the measurements. I am looking at this lift also. Any issues? How is the lift with 16's? A lot of air between tire and fender? Any pics of you setup? Did you need to do anything else? Control arms, trac bar, brake lines, bump stops??? Any driveshaft issues? Side note, how do you like yours tires? Thanks again.

I have had no issues with the lift. My Jeep looks stock with the lift and 255/85 16. I am not building a rock crawler, I am more interested in an overlanding vehicle. The only thing that I did in addition to the lift was making some brake line extensions. I really like the tires. I have about ~6,000 miles on them with a lot of highway miles including a 24 hour round trip to Snowshoe, WV. They have been great on the road and off road.

Thanks man. I have read mixed reviews on here about rought country lifts, specifically the rear springs sagging badly. I know you are taking measurments, but have you looked at your rear springs for any signs of sagging. There are several posted pics showing the top turns compressing so badly they are always touching...no space at all between them. Just asking.

Drivers Side - Now taking measurements from the ground to the center of the front fender, as I have recently installed a stubby bumper. Sag with the bumper is 1/2".

Ft - 38 1/2

My top 3 coils are touching and they have since I installed the lift. You can see from the numbers that I have had very little sag....~1/8". I would think that all coils will sag a little. These are not linear springs, they are progressive so the top coils compress easier and are supposed to touch. I believe RC when they say this because my Jeep sat perfectly level until I added the aftermarket bumper. If they were not engineered to touch, the front would be sitting higher because of the unexpected sag in the rear.

They were designed to be very close in the rear. the first couple of coils are typically touching and the third wrap usually has a very small gap.

The coils have been updated from this design due to the perception that they have actually sagged. We actually have a none progressive rear spring that can replace the progressive rear spring. If you are happy with the stance, I would recommend leaving the current springs. The new springs might give you rake.
