Exclamation Traction control light, felt like it downshifted

Driving on the highway about 75 mph, traction control light came on and it felt like the jeep shifted down into second gear. I hit the clutch and shifted down from 6th gear to 5th, problem went away and drove like normal. What could it be?

I have an auto trans, but I've had that happen to me as well, for about a second. For me it was faulty speed sensor signals to the ABS. I replaced my rear sensors but that did not fix the problem. For me, my solution was to clean the large connector in the engine compartment for the ABS.

I’ll give that a shot, thanks! The dealer I bought it from told me they just replaced the speed sensors, I guess that would explain why.

I chased my problem for awhile and posted about it on here. Removing the ABS connector, spraying it with deoxit electrical cleaner, then plugging it back it ended up being my permanent fix.
