Default Trail doors or no doors?

How did you convince the boss lady that no doors is better than trail doors? Is it a matter of getting use to not having a door there to lean on? Not looking to spend a few hundred dollars for something else that will spend most of it's life in my garage.

Suppose your heading up into the mountains 500 miles from home for a week of camping. Do you pack your trail doors in the back and keep the factory doors on?

If your a doors off guy, what do you do with your factory doors at your camp site, store them in your tent?

I had besttop softdoors on my last jeep and loved them.

Tops come off easily and store easily but when the weather gets bad they go on very quick. I find half doors nice for the extra production from branches and nice to lean on.

The biggest bonus of softdoors is that it gives you 3 options with a very quick turn over.

Been wrestling with the same question for a year or so. I do camping trips with my club every summer and the ride is about 3 hours each time we go. I normally go with doors on just because I'm driving highway most of the way there and then I take doors off when I get there. Thought maybe having trail doors would be a good compromise but still haven't convinced myself that it would be better since removing the doors only takes a few minutes. The trail doors I am looking at provide some protection off-road if I was to lean into a tree or rock so maybe that is a good reason...

I never flopped or rolled or anything offroad, but ii really don't see how trail doors protect you any more than no doors, if you're buckled in.

I prefer no doors. Just always wear your seat belt.

I definitely prefer no doors, but my trail doors are a decent compromise for the wife. Around town she's fine with no doors, but if there's freeway involved she freaks out a little. Happy wife, happy life... with jeep

I just lock my doors to a tree with a cable lock at camp and run door less.

Bestop softdoors don't take up much room in the back, and are nice to have during a downpour.

The key is repetition, the more you drive with no doors the more she gets used to it. My wife can now sleep at 70 mph on the highway with no doors on (well at night anyway).
