Default Trange sound when accelerating

Last night on my way from Boston to CT a strange sound came up when I accelerate. It sounds like something might be loose but I am unsure. Any ideas? I know it's vague but thats the best way to describe it. The jk drives fine but that noise is loud and worrisome. Sounds loudest right under the dash/stick shift.

Does it happen whenever there is an initial change in torque or the entire time you're accelerating? I have a strange noise in the same area and I've been wondering what it is. It happens when I hit the throttle after shifting. I would describe it as a "squeak" but that might not be the best word for it.
