Default Tranny cooler lines leaking RARR

I installed a B&M tranny cooler a few months ago, and noticed a couple weeks back that where the tranny cooler lines are connected to the OE lines, there is leakage. I have tightend down the clamps, removed them, tightend them again, and the fucker still leaks. first noticed it cause there was tranny fluid on my track bar. its a real slow leak, but its driving me crazy. any idea why the fittings are leaking even though its tightend down good. I was thinking about maybe putting some silicone around the fitting as maybe that would seal it up better, but dont know if thats a good idea or not. The install went smooth, and i replaced the fittings that came with the kit with one piece barbs that are tight as shit when i put them in the hose. always somethin

Glad im not the only one. When i first put my trans cooler on a month ago and started up my jeep that thing was leaking from all 4 fittings! The hose clamps they give you in the kit are garbage. I went to Home depot and got (4) new hose clamps for .95 each. I got hose clamps designed for a larger hose as the hardware seemed to be beefier and i was able to tighten the shit out of the clamps. i couldnt get the clamps that came with the cooler tight enough, the clamp would strip out. Hope that helps.

nah dude go ahead and do it, i just have bad luck but i do recommend going to a hardware store and getting some one piece hose barb connections cause the ones that come with the kit that are 2 piece and screw together are bulky and just dont seem as practical. i think ill try different hose clamps but i think you should definately put it on, your tranny will thank you

Yeah I am going to do it anyways , probably Friday. I am just going to get some 3/8" hose barb connectors like in the writeup and get (4) better hose clamps.

What do those fittings look like. You definitely want barbed fittings and very good hose clamps. Throw some liquid teflon tape on the fittings as well. It's been so long, I've forgotten did the line come with the kit or did you supply your own?

Do you mind taking a pic of the barb connectors so that I know exactly what I need to buy when I do mine? Thanks.
