ugh buy a big RUBICON sticker!

Seriously though,

Assuming you have a 4X4, the main differences in the standard Wrangler and a Rubicon are these parts; the transfer case, front Dana44 axle, front and rear electronic lockers and the electronic sway bar disconnect.

Now what would YOU do to make your JK as capable as a Rubi? Either do those swaps or you can get lockers, get a front axle sleeve and axle gussets, and some manual quick discos for the front sway bar. You'd be able to rock out all day long and you'll feel like its yours and not just another factory vehicle (not bashing on the RUBIs, i'm not a hater).

Already having a lift an 35's alone will get you through almost everything.

Any Jeep, including Rubicons with D44s, will need sleeves and gussets with 35s.

Such would (and probably will) start the debate on the subject, however I agree completely, a great addition to beef up a stock 44 as well!

You are right in saying the rubicon d44 needs beefed up. The only diff is the housing and gears if I remember right.

To the OP, your jeep is already capable with the lift and tires. You may look at gear swaps, lockers and skid plates and you could probably handle just about anything. Enjoy it and make it yours.

Rubi also has lower tcase gears 4:1. Sport or Sahara is 2.72:1

X2 on what Bucko said. Gears, Suspension, and armor are the most important things imo.

Get lockers. The 4:1 transfer case has advantages and disadvantages. They do come up for sale used for decent money. Or you could just get an atlas. I really like the way a rubicon swaybar disco works, better than messing with links IMHO. I think second to a rubicon style disoconect, teraflex swaybar has the best design.
