Default Transmission cooler temp sensor... will this work?????/

So I'm going to install a Tanny cooler this weekend. Seeing how I live in the south in 85+ degree weather all year round, and I'm running 35's I figure it will be a good addition.

I want to put a temp sensor in so I can monitor the temp, and I've been complementing where to put the sensor without cutting the metal tanny line. So I came with this it....(pic below)... will this work... will i have any problems?????

The temp sensor should be in the flow as it leaves the aux cooler, on its way back to the transmission.
If the cooler is positioned vertically, that would be the top port.
