Default Transmission/Transfer Case/Differential fluids

Just regurgitating some info that I found on the fluids as I plan on changing mine out. I only researched Amsoil and Royal Purple. If you use another feel free to add to the list (include prices if possible). If you know of a cheaper price, please let me know (free shipping, etc). Prices I posted are per quart. Also if the amounts are incorrect, let me know and I will update the correct it.

All I know is don't use anything but Mopar ATF+4 in a newer Jeep automatic transmissons. Trust me on this one there is something special in it. On the Liberty I had I drained out the old stuff, changed both filters and filled it to capacity with Amsoil and as soon as I did that the vehicle wouldn't move in either reverse or drive for about 10-15 seconds when it was cold. About a week later I did it all over again, this time with the Mopar stuff and the next morning it worked fine and I never had another problem.

I've completely rebuilt a Ford C-6 transmission so its not like I didn't know what I was doing either but this just baffled me. Pretty sure there is some proprietary blend of additives in ATF+4 that somehow interacts with the material in the bands and clutches. I don't imagine it had anything to do with the valve body.

Try Redline Oils, fully synthetic and claimed to provide excellent protection. They also do ATF, coolant.
