Default Trektop NX. Does it get any easier to put on?

I just put my Trektop NX on for the first time in a heated garage plus a heater in the jeep. It took me 1.75 hours! Please say this gets easier.
It shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to put a soft top up right? At least that is about how long it took me on my old YJ.

I did the same thing man in my garage with a heater. Got it to 78 in there took about an hour and a half, every bit of strength I had to stretch it, and about 3,000 cuss words.

Don't worry, it gets easier every time. Better to be tight and look great than the alternative.

It does get easier. You just have to find the best process for putting it on. The warmer the temperature, the better.

there is a trick to latching the front after the back is all attached on your new top...
  1. loosen the thumb screws on the connecting point for the two ront rods
  1. slide it as forward as it will go and tighten them
  1. insert a small nut on either side between the metal adjustable bracket and the door surround.

When the top is new, it's so tight that it will force those adjusting plates back when you try to close the top. The nuts will keep it from sliding back, and then you will be able to latch it. Latching will still be difficult the first few days, but you will at least now be able to get the latches through the windshield hoops!

Interesting tip. I did push mine as far forward as I could and then tightened it down but I never look later to see if they slipped back. If They do then a nut would do just the trick.

Default Question

I just bought a 2013 2dr and want to purchase a trektop nx. Trektop shows 2007-2012's in the description. The 2012's and 2013's are the same right?

Thanks
