Have had my trektop NX just under a year. I love it. However, I am currently on a road trip. The header bar broke right at the driver's side clamp while I was going down the freeway. I have to drive with the top open and i am surrounded by rain clouds. I am 12 hours from home. I hope there is a 4x4 store in El Paso that can help me out.

 

Darn.. just bring it by my place and I'll take it off your hands!

 

That happened to me driving to Colorado 3 weeks ago! Call Bestop and they'll replace it for you

 

Hey man, pick up an emergency top, should be less than $100. This happened to me. I called best top, and they are replacing the header with the canvas top, but it will take a few weeks because they are out of stock.

Otherwise your option is to contact your place that you bought it to take care of warranty, which of course is not optimal on a road trip.

Thankfully mine is usable, just not optimal. Good luck with yours.

 

Just got back from the vendor who sold the top. Vendor will replace the damaged section and work the details with Bestop. Top should be here wednesday.

 

This just happened to me too. I've had mine for less than a week. I wonder how many other people have been affected.
