Default Trektop NX help

Almost finished installing my Trektop NX, went pretty smoothly on a damn hot day like today! All except for the rear window. Ive read post after post, scoured other sites, but I still cant get the rear window up into the little snap in groove at the top of the rear window. Ive tried it with the sunrider completely open, middle bow out of its track, and completely unhooked the sunrider bow...still cant hook it up.
With that one exception I love this top so far!
Anyone have any suggestions? Currently I have it in the tailgait retainer and all zipped up hoping that it will stretch a little but I'm open to some suggestions!
Thanks,
BTKillerr

Try leaving the front part open so there won't be any tension at the back, this should give a lil slack to wrestle the rear window in the channel.

Finally got it! I released the rear tailgate bar, then connected the top groove(was a pain to snap it all the way in but I got it), snapped the tailgate bar in place, all zippers in place, got the rear side windows placed in grooves properly, and finished zipping it up! All this was done with the sunrider released.
I'll let it set in and stretch for the next week before I remove the side and rear windows and hopefully it'll go back together much easier next time!

yep! no tension anywhere is good when putting that on...I know when I put mine on in the spring I lay it out in the yard to heat up before attempting to put it on!

I'm glad you got it to fit, but am curious as to what you mean by "top groove" and "snaps." FWIW, I think the main cause for the installation issues presented on this forum are the very poor instructions from Bestop. Mine had steps numbered out of sequence, incomplete explanations and useless illustrations. For what they charge for these things, there's no excuse not to include photos, rather than lacking-in-detail drawings. The description of the very first step (attaching the brackets for the springs) is downright wrong, and the drawing is totally useless.

For the next generation of Trektop owners reading this thread, I suggest you follow this strategy when you reach the point of attaching the windows: get all three windows started and then work the zippers and belt rail retainers in baby steps, alternating among the windows, so that you don't find yourself unable to even start the last zipper due to the fact that the gap between the halves is way too large. I installed my Trektop NX on a 90-degree day, in the sun, with canvas so hot it was painful to touch -- and it was still difficult to do using only the printed instructions.
