Trektop Tailgate Bracket
Love my Trektop but for those of you who have new new version with the tailgate bar, be careful when trying to pry the brackets off the body.
This is probably obvious to most, but do NOT pull on the tailgate bar itself to pry the brackets... The metal tailgate bar is riveted to the brackets and the rivets will rip through the plastic.
Make sure to pry the brackets themselves when opening the back window.
How do I know this? I just do

Did the same thing, but just fixed it with some bolts. nuts, and washers from home depot. Cost me $2. They actually sell the rivets there to, but you would need larger rivets since the hole was stripped out. Bestop would probably warranty it, but I figured why bother.
