Trektop wind noise
My top arrived late last week, and I was able to take the time to put it on yesterday evening. The install was easy and probably took less than 30 minutes. The temp was about 70 degrees by the time I finished and the top was too small in a couple of places (mostly around the rear door surrounds). We'll see if it expands a bit in today's warmer temps.
Finish was great. The top arrived with no defects and all screws, nuts, washers, etc.. Design is another story. I popped the two rivets on the rear gate hooks when I was unclipping the gate bar for the first time. I'll be re-riveting those this evening and most likely adding small washers to the rivet for strength. The top is quiet, except for the area previously mentioned in this thread. For my top, it's coming from both front doors, even at low speeds (it starts at about 25 MPH). I'll be trying the fix this evening as well.

I fixed the blown rivets and added support (they pulled through the plastic clamp.

I also tried both recomended fixes for the wind noise. Neither made a difference. I'm going to try a different weather stripping configuration tonight.

I have been watching this thread and doing my own testing looking a fix for this and what I have found is that you need to fill or cove the opening in the fabric. I covered mine with electrical tape as a test and it was nice and quiet. The weather stripping worked but did not stay stuck to the top once I rolled it back and I didn't want to stick it to the jeep. So I am still looking for a long term solution. I circled the fabric area in the picture below that I covered with tape.
The weather has been too nice for doors here lately, but it was raining this morning so I had to button everything up again. I folded the tabs in as dbeas suggested - will take it out on the highway this afternoon to see if it helps.
I found a simple fix to the noise on complete accident when I installed my top and one side had the small flap with the foam padding on it folded at a 90 degree angle from where it is supposed to be.
Looking at the drivers door, if you take this piece and rotate it counter clockwise 90 degrees and tuck the right end up into the top snugly. This removes the area where the wind enters the top and almost completely eliminates the noise. I will see if I can get a picture later on and figure out how to attach it.

I find that folding the tabs helps somewhat, but it is still noisy as hell! I have had the trek on since june. I just noticed that the rear corners are ripping a little where the doors meet. Anyone else having this problem?
No problem with ripping on mine.
So far the best wind noise fix for me was adding another piece of stripping right next to the pad that comes installed as new. It cut 85% of the noise. I'll try the 90 degree fold next. That makes a fair amount of sense.
