I have that setup on my Sahara. Did you have any particular questions?. I just got back from Moab and I was able to do 99% of the stuff my buddy in a rubicon was able to do.

Don't mean to hijack this thread but if this is limited slip how is this an improvement over my stock limited slip.

Your front doesnt have limited slip stock. The rear lsd has clutches that wear out where the true trac didn't so it will last longer

I'm confused... Thought the stock "limited slip" was the tru trac system, no?

Front diff on anything but a rubicon is open. For the most part, the rear is open or a limited slip (lsd). I believe the lsd in the JK uses clutch packs which wear out and take a bit more to engage. It also utilizes BLDS ( Brake Lock Differential System) which applies the brakes to the spinning wheel to try and transfer power to the other side. Works great on the street and mild to moderated offroad. It will leave you stuck on some moderate to advance/expert type trails.

The Truetrac uses gears which last longer and are often biased to engage more quickly.

I had that setup on my TJ and it worked quite well. Great in snow and mud.

Factory uses a Trak-Lock in the back .. not a Tru-Track ... the factory one uses clutches that wear out pretty fast .. most people call it a TRASH-Lock ...

If you don't want to lock the front ... the best alternative is Detroit Locker in the back and a Tru-Trac in the Front.

I have driven many vehicles with LSDs front and rear, mostly Subarus but my CJ7 had that setup (Quadratrac), and the Trak Lok i had on my 2010 was by far the least effective LSD I had. Not because it has clutches or anything, just not a good product. I have lockers in the rear now and have not noticed it is gone.

If you don't do rock crawling LSDs are great on the trail.

I run this set up and it's awesome, for my conditions. You could do other things that are economical (Aussi, Detroit) that might fit your situation better. What do you need a traction aiding device for, what are your goals other than economic etc.
