true trac's in a daily driver with lots of highway winter driving
I am looking at putting 2 true tracs in my JK. I do ALOT of highway driving in the winter. Will these cause a loss of control in shitty snowy icy roads. I am leery of anything that may cause a loss of control on them. I want peice of mind off road that I have extra grip and driveability ....
anyone with them please comment.

Not they should increase your traction and control. A truetrac is a great limited slip that will transfer power to the wheels with traction to help you. This is a very good setup for a vehicle that is mostly driven on the highway.

Been running this set up since I did the regear in Feb, no issues at all with it. We get some snow and ice here in the winter, not massive amounts but enough to make it an interesting drive from time to time and the true tracs handled it without any complaints,

Is this a cost thing? (true-trac vs lockers)
Because if you're on the highway, it's still only going to be powering 1 tire until the other one loses traction... and at most road speeds (100kph on the highway, 50-70 on side roads (60mph, 35-45?)), if you're losing traction, you'll be in the ditch before the they kick in and provide any tangible benefit.
At low speeds (intersections, etc) in the winter I could see them being a massive benefit. But then 4hi usually solves that issue for me (and I get winter for 6 months of the year). I'm also not sure you'd want a true-trac in the front if you use 4hi in the winter. But then I use my MTs all winter long, so I'm in 4hi half the time.
