Default truss or sleeve?

Going to reinforce my front axle. Just got my rubi 3 weeks ago. Came with 4in suspension and 1 body on 37in bfg KO. I'm already getting a set of 37in Goodyear mt and beadlocks on trade this weekend. So I gotta do something with the front axle. Should I sleeve it or truss it. I like the strength of a truss but I can't be down a set of wheels for work that long to pull the axle. Weld it up and put it back on cuz my jkr is my DD. Any suggestions?

I'd say something like the Artec Axle armor kit would be the way to go, but your looking at a day of down time to get it welded in

Yea I have weekends off and that's it. My work is 1030 in the morning to 11 at night. Mon- Fri. So I'll have a couple hours pulling the axle out then taking it somewhere to get it welded then a couple more hours putting it back on.

I run the artec truss and gussets. Took me and my welding buddy about 7 hours from start to finish. That's not bad down time at all.

Did you weld it while the axle was on?

No, just the easiest place to weld is the top of the axle c. It should miss the ball joint by a half inch.

I feel like a broken record. If you can afford the work of a competent welder, or even better, can do it yourself, a truss is THE BEST option for armor of stock axles.

Pure jeep kit on my old D30, Artec kit on my new D44.
