Truth about regear with 2012 JKU
I have had my 315/70/17 for about a month, I have a 2012 auto Rubicon with 3.73 gears. I have programmed my computer with my Procal and have my AEV Geometry brackets on the second hole with my AEV 2.5" Dualsport lift. I have a JKS front trac bar and have replaced my CA bolts with the Northridge bolt kit. I have also replaced my steering stabilizer with the matching Bilstein.
Now while driving down I-10 in Florida, I had been on the road for about an hour, using overdrive at 74 mph. You can see that I was getting 18 mpg and able to stay in overdrive even on slight hills. Steep hills it would kick down but not all the way only to 2800 rpm's.
I average about 16 mpg in town and have no issues getting up to speed. In my opinion the 4.10 gears with a light 35" setup would be perfect. Mine is light and in Florida works very well, if you have hills you will not be happy.
So, again in my opinion. 4.10 gears would be best in my setup, I am happy with my 3.73 and will not regear in the near future. 4.56 if you run a heavy 35" tire would be perfect and if you stay off the interstate.
Thought I would share my real life numbers with those that need them. Good luck.
Oh, and it drives Great!!

Yet another gear thread.
I guess if where you live looks like Florida you might be fine with 3.73 or 4.10 or whatever...
After reading 300 posts on 2012 re-gearing, I think it's all a matter of preference. Not that it's bad to explain your own preference and reasoning (spec's help too).
